“Sculpture is a permanent exciting discovery”
Born in 1984, Lolek is almost the youngest artist represented every time at each Art Fair.
After a glorious start at the age of 12, he was represented in the cultural exhibition of France where was rewarded with first prizes.
He starts to paint with pastels finger-crushed on paper, then work in lost-wax bronze. His works show a unique technique enhanced by high quality sheen. Originally with no definite technique mastered, Lolek created the refined and opulent forms that made his sculptures easily stable
His forms are mostly without faces, hands or feet: he doesn’t need them. The most important is the movement, the curved lines and the desire to touch.
His first sculptures were more symbolical and sensual, but with time, they have become more realistic.
In his sculpture Lolek wants to “make a surprising effect, to provide the admiration”, the sculpture must be “Great to touch, to caress and to hold, exactly how I like them”.
What he likes the most is to see the hand of visitors touching his sculptures in automatic reflex to his irresistible forms.
his works are rated at Drouot’s in Paris.
