Leon BRONSTEIN

Born in 1951

“The magic world of sculpture..”

Born in Moldavia than emigrated to Israel 1979, Bronstein was an architect before starting to “extract life from olive wood” creating his warm figures.

A blooming sculpture animated by sumptuous undulant curves, interacting gracefully with its surrounding space, giving an elegant combination between plants, animal & human life.

Bronstein’s passion for art will never lose its vigor. From curving wood, he has expanded his artistry to casting bronze. His talent lies in an ability to endow the inherently elusive material with transcendental essence.

Being a romantic dreamer, his sculpted subject-matter takes shape in the fantastic framework of an ideal world where love, peace, beauty and harmony reign.

Tradition and Innovation live side by side in Bronstein’s works. This leads to his Desire to overcome the linear ‘Finitude’ of ‘Historical Time’ and to arrive at a spiral of continuity never beginning and never ending until infinite time becomes clear.

In his attempt to depict the sources of art, religion and cultural traditions, Bronstein strikes out in two directions: Existential and Conceptual.

He developed a creative power that generated an artistic vocation inspired by his determination to express freedom and reach for it.

His sculptures are present in several museums throughout the world, especially in USA, Canada and Israel.
