Long considered the world's foremost fair for masterworks bridging contemporary decorative, fine art and design, the 12th annual International Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Fair at the Park Avenue Armory enjoyed buoyant sales and steady crowds from the vernissage on April 15 straight through its four day run ending on Sunday, April 19.

This year’s Palm Beach Jewelry, Art & Antique Show attracted
phenomenal crowds—the Palm Beach Convention Center parking
lot was over-capacity through the entire show—and reported
strong sales in nearly every category. Fine art dealers had successful
shows with sales of important American and European works.
Arader Galleries sold a series of nineteenth-century orchid watercolors;
Rehs Galleries sold several paintings, including an oil by
Louis Valtat (1869–1952); Questroyal Fine Art LLC sold paintings
by George Loftus Noyes (1864–1954) and Hovesp Pushman
(1877–1966). European and American antiques also sold well,
“We had a great show,” said Alan Granby of Hyland Granby
Antiques. “The attendance was incredible and all the right people
were there.” Mark J. West, a leading UK glass dealer stated that he
had a terrific show last year, and was pleasantly surprised when his
2009 sales surpassed those of 2008.
